Disable IPv6
I guess it could be great if IPv6 was disabled in 2009.1 by default. 99% users don't need it.

Re: Disable IPv6
Check out Mandriva 2009.1 Eratta -> IPv6 issues. IPv6 is useless for now. There are no reasons to keep it enabled by default in 2009.1. Maybe in 2015 or 2020 IPv6 will be useful, but not in 2009. In 2009 it just eats your system resources and even creates problems (in some cases).TizioIncognito wrote:I don't understand, why to disable IPv6?

Re: Disable IPv6
if you read the specs document, i will understand why ipv6 must be integrated in mandriva.
Quote:
IPv6 deployment is becoming a hot topic and some US agencies (DoD for instance) are now requiring IPv6 compliance for software they use.
In plus, ipv6 connection can be disabled via mandriva tools without problems.

Re: Disable IPv6

What you requested and non-activated by default, I think that the American agencies are able to activate a check, a new user coming from another system may have more difficulty.
Ciao.

Re: Disable IPv6
