Change KDM in Kde4.4.0

Post by tobal »

KDM is the login screen in KDE. I like to logging when i enter in my KDE sessions because it is more secure than auto-logging.

I have had many problems to change my KDM in kde4.4.0 because of permission troubles to acces on systemsettings like root user.
When we want change our KDM is necessary root or superuser permissions, but when we execute systemsettings we enter on it without root. Foir this reason i didn't can change my KDM. I think it is a bug in KDE.

I've tried from terminal with: su, gksu and kdesu commands but not work fine.

The solution is:

Press the keys ALT+F2, then write

Code: Select all

kdesu systemsettings
after that go to Advanced->Gestor De Acceso

and change your own preferences :-)

bye,
Tobal
