To highlight:
Kernel3.18.11 sees the return of TOI for the nrjQL flavours, all the tests with my Pcs is fine executing a lot of suspend/resume and hybernation/resume
in the first versions of Kernel 3.18 serie, we have received a certain number of complains related to this feature, we really appreciate your feedback...

now please, you should take attention on these suspend/resume operations with your own PCs, and it's very important to report us your experiences!

I even tried to "rmmod rt61pci" before suspend and "modprobe rt61pci" after resume. Didn't help, only reboot helps.

Code: Select all
[root@localhost ~]# lsmod | grep rt61pci
[root@localhost ~]# modprobe rt61pci
[root@localhost ~]# lsmod | grep rt61pci
rt61pci                32088  0

I remember the wifi fails after a resume, an old problem that can happen with certain hardware drivers

Googling around with this terms,,,
ralink stops working after resume

this kind of problems with RALINK seems pretty common...
a lot of discussions, you can read and try some workaround, then if is working for you, let us know

here, just for example, there is a discussion and a solution that works, at least, for the ubuntu 14.04

the discussion is:
Since 14.04 Upgrade Wifi does not connect after suspend, ralink RT3290
>>> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2218043
here is the working workaround
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? ... st13000035

in the first versions of Kernel 3.18 serie, we have received a certain number of complains related to this feature, we really appreciate your feedback...

now please, you should take attention on these suspend/resume operations with your own PCs, and it's very important to report us your experiences!

Upgraded kernel on all my machines, all works fine also suspend/hybernation with TOI! 8-)
Thanks NicCo! :D

this kind of problems with RALINK seems pretty common...
a lot of discussions, you can read and try some workaround, then if is working for you, let us know

Thanks for links. I tried everything written there and no success. I didn't find any sequence of commands to make wifi network working. I tried to reload driver rt61pci, to restart NetworkManager service, "nmcli nm sleep false", "pkill -f wpa_supplicant", but nothing helped, only reboot. Here is output after NetworkManager service restart:

Code: Select all
[root@localhost ~]# nmcli nm sleep false

What else should I restart after resume, some other service? Or is it problem of wrong device power state or something like that?

It maybe that the firmware can not be loaded
please, can you verify if you have installed it?

Your firmware should be
Code: Select all
rt61-firmware

Description:
This package contains the firmware files for the RT61 chip, which is used in WLAN PCMCIA cards.

For a proper resume from suspend the firmware must be properly reloaded,
so it maybe a defect on the current installed firmware, or a missing firmware
.

Package rt61-firmware brings files:

‎/lib/firmware/rt2561.bin
‎/lib/firmware/rt2561s.bin
‎/lib/firmware/rt2661.bin

But I already have all these files, they come from package: kernel-firmware-extra-20150209-0.1-omv2014.0.noarch. With that pkg there come really a lot of firmware files, so I fear to uninstall it and replace with rt61-firmware. And it is even not allowed to uninstall.
