Kernel LTS 3.0.101 (EOL) rel.3 for ROSA Marathon 2012 (only)

Post by NicCo »

Kernel LTS 3.0.101 (EOL) for ROSA Marathon 2012 (only)

Kernel LTS 3.0.101 for ROSA Marathon 2012 (rosa2012lts) only

Kernel 3.0.101 - LTS Edition - This is the EOL final and last version
http://lwn.net/Articles/571242/

What is changing with the new release
Since this release we use the new stable major version of BFQ v7r4 (enabled as default)

read more about previous BFQv7r4: a link with a graph of last tests
http://algo.ing.unimo.it/people/paolo/d ... esults.php

It should fix a rare issue that may happen with NCQ HDD devices, when these are detected
as NOT NCQ capable, all that may lead tonoticeable slowdowns and so many nasty oops...

The issue happened rarely, it was reported by few liquorix kernel users
to be reproduced and verified it occurred to be injected, now it's fixed...

I have applied the same new BFQ R4 patches into all our supported kernels!
