it works with some little side effects. but you could try also this "strange" solution. ;)

icons, colors, style and fonts. i had some ugly icons in kpackages.

but this solution need more tests.

it would be the perfect solution for mimicking kde4 reading his settings

Ciao, Luca.
KDE3 apps want a few different icons not present in KDE4 Rosa icons set, so we could fix it only adding all missing icons in next versions

something like this:

http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/9673/desktop20q.png

but maybe the simplest solution is install kde3-kdebase-kcontrol from MIB and change all you need:

:D

By steps:
1) install amarok (urpmi kde3-amarok)
2) run amarok
3) got the problem: process kconf_update eat 100% of cpu each time it is executed by running amarok(not tested on other kde3 progs)

Solution is:
1) create a file: /opt/kde3/share/config/kconf_updaterc
2) add an option autoUpdateDisabled=true into kconf_updaterc
Thanx for the report, I'll apply this fix soon and upload new packages (on Wednesday, I think).

@Andrey
you should ad also a kde3 language package as deps , after installing :
kde3-i18n-it-3.5.10-4-mib2011.0.noarch.rpm
it is perfect , i have menuentry and works properly , nice port thx ya made my day :D
It's great to hear that everything works. :) But the problem could not be related to missing language package. As it contains only translations. Perhaps you had to reboot Mandriva first (100% for menus, not sure for the rest). After reboot new path entries are set so Mandriva knows where to search for menu entries etc. Surely it's very confusing but I don't know how to avoid it.
