Here are new two Mirrors for MIB projects: just available!

Post by NicCo »

1> Our mirror
http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB alias http://mib.mandrivausers.ro/MIB/

has been transferred to a VPS (from Gemany to London), where we have much more space!

ping mib.mandrivausers.ro <- does it resolve to 85.13.211.142? then you see the new server.

2> This new VPS server, has been already mirrored to another server with 1 Gbps and IPv6.

http://mirrors.coreix.net/MIB

This is proper mirror server with 1 Gbps link, unlimited traffic and big disks.
This mirror syncs with the new VPS every hour.
I advert this server more than the VPS as it's a lot faster.

All the new mirrors will sync each others every hour.

We'll prepare soon some alias, fo ra more practical access:

So, if one mirror is in downtime, i can immediately forward traffic on another working server, and you'll never notice any disservice

All that means we have now two powerful mirrors with space enough for MIB mirrors

thanks to Lucian (mandrivausers.ro)

http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB alias http://mib.mandrivausers.ro/MIB/

ping mib.mandrivausers.ro <- risolve in 85.13.211.142? Allora state vedendo il nuovo server!

http://mirrors.coreix.net/MIB

Quest'ultimo, da considersi quello consigliato ha:
- 1 Gbps link, traffico illimitato e grossi dischi

grazie a Lucian (mandrivausers.ro)

Yesterday, I provided to chance the path, forwarding the official mirror to the faster mirror server (1.0 Gbps ed IPv6)

Recent configuration:
http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB >>> http://mirrors.coreix.net/MIB

So all those who have configured repositories /mib and/or /restricted through the address > http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB/.../ ...
will find themselves automatically and transparently redirected to a server even more handsome, without having to change anything.

Configurazione attuale:
http://mirror.pianetalinux.org/MIB >>> http://mirrors.coreix.net/MIB
