As already announced on our MIB Blog Mandriva/ROSA is providing a new repository service containing .iso images updated with the latest packages available at the time of their creation.
Mandriva 2011.0 a new service started: Mandriva Daily iso

We were the first Blog to give the news as soon as the first Daily isos begun to populate the folders on RosaLab server.

Our announcement has been taken up by many other bloggers who faithfully follow us every day to be kept informed of important news about our distribution Mandriva.

Here in the forum now I open a topic to provide an adequate space for users wishing to publish their own comments.

Mandriva 2011.0 a new service started: Mandriva Daily iso

Hi,

a great pity that the new ISOs have no chance to update earlier installations, but only do an installation from scratch.

We can uncheck disk format but rpm database will be deleted.

After the install new user would not notice the problem.

Description:
Wrong permissions on /home/live/.local and /home/live/,fonts.conf ) and no config could be written

Simple workaround:

Code: Select all

chmod -R live:live /home/live/.local

Denis Koryakov wrote: Hello everyone!

We prepared unofficial image for Mandriva 2011 RC2 with kernel 3.0 by MIB group. Note: because it is unofficial distro, it destined only for testing purposes. Mandriva 2011 will be with kernel 2.6.38.7, and later, after some period of testing, we will update kernel to 3.0. You may get Mandriva 2011 with 3.0 kernel from here.
