Re: E17 - request
I've build Eterm but it looks like crap and it's buggy. I guess we don't need it. Ok, I found that just one week ago Kim Woelders submited Eterm patch that brings UTF8 support. Here it is: http://www.mail-archive.com/enlightenment-devel@lists.sourceforge.net/msg20714.html With this patch Eterm look...

Re: E17 - request
Try to play with "--edge bottom --align right" options (maybe "--edge top" will be better for you).xircon wrote:Trayer is working, but is hiding under my panel! When I run Amarok, I can see a wolf nose poking out from behind the panel Will sort out later today, had to come into work this morning

Re: E17 - request
Tested on another PC with 2009.0. Upgraded broken E17 from /Contrib with new SVN packages and now it works fine. I guess no more tests needed with the "main" packages. I'll start working on eterm and other "secondary" packages today.

Re: E17 - request
Can't get trayer to work though, followed the instructions to the letter - but doesn't seem to do anything. Pretty vanilla install of 2009.0 - do I need Gtk installed? It's transparent so you won't see it unless you run any program that puts its icon to the tray. Amarok, Deluge, Pidgin or something...

Re: E17 - request
Do you need volunteers for testing? if you do I will help. email: xirconuk@gmail.com just need some instructions on how to install / rpm locations. Hi :) We really need someone with broken E17 installed to test if new packages can fix it easily. Just download all packages from http://mib.pianetalin...

Re: E17 - request
BTW, E17 doesn't have system tray module. The best workaround for this problem: 1. Install trayer 2. Make trayer.desktop like shown below (look at "Exec" field) and put it in E17 autorun: [vuohi@mandriva ~]$ cat /usr/share/applications/trayer.desktop [Desktop Entry] Categories=Utility; Encoding=UTF-...

Re: E17 - request
Could you create task-17 for those who want to test it? ;) I guess for now e itself is something like task-17 , because it requires all other packages (except for e_modules and -devel ones). Tell me if I'm wrong, please. We'll need task-e17 after we have some independent E17-applications like eterm...

Re: E17 - request
Tested 2009.0 packages in VirtualBox and on my second "real" PC, everything is working almost fine. Installed with "urpmi ./*", not with "rpm -ivh ./*" because E17 requires many other packages from Main and Contrib.

RPM building configure2_5x macros tries to build esmart_trans_x11 with: /bin/sh ../../../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -O2 -g -pipe -Wp,-D_FORTIFY_SOURCE=2 -fexceptions -fstack-protector --param=ssp-buffer-size=4 -fomit-frame-pointer -march=i586 -mtune=generic -fasynchronous-unwind-tables -versio...

Re: E17 - request
I'm very curious... to see it! I have problems with building esmart package for 2009.0. I can send SRPMs and i686 RPMS for 2008.1 now, but I don't know what's about 2009.0. If I simply run ./configure and then make in source directory, everything goes fine. But if I try to build a package with %con...

Re: E17 - request
I'm very curious... to see it! It still has no system tray module and has very basic file manager but overall it looks impressive  I tried to work in new E17 for 5-6 hours yesterday and it was OK. Configuration tool segfaulted once but otherwise it seems to be stable. I'll try to build package...

Re: E17 - request
XCB support in Evas library seems to be broken, the ticket is already posted to the bugtracker. Hope it's not vital.
