KRename is a powerful batch renamer for KDE.



It allows you to easily rename hundreds or even more files in one go. The filenames can be created by parts of the original filename, numbering the files or accessing hundreds of informations about the file, like creation date or Exif informations of an image.

General Features:

renaming of complete directories
recursive directory scanning with Wildcards (e.g. *.mp3)
renaming of directory names
renaming of huge numbers of files (more than 10.000)
renaming of filename and extension
expandable by the use of a open plugin architecture

first character in word to caps (e.g. Krename.png)
numbering of files (start,steps,skips definable)
add the current Date and time to a filename
using substrings of the old filename
create subdirectories while renaming

This release adds advanced sorting modes, based on KRename tokens such as [filesize] or [creationdate] and the font plugin to rename font files is back.
